Hacking Question about deleting games from SD card and Data Management

So from my understanding, you cannot access Data Management after you have "installed" the Gateway exploit, or else the exploit and .cias/themes/dlc you might have installed will be deleted. However, I want to delete some of the retail games that I have purchased from my SD card to make room for new games. How do I do this if I can't access Data Management?

Well actually, I haven't installed emunand yet. Does that mean that nothing will be deleted if I access data management?
