Hacking Question about computer / external hardrive

I have recently downloaded and put games on HDD and played on wii but my question is simply about the computer and hard drive.

I use a mac so I use WBFS for MAC OS x to transfer files to HDD, I want to restore my MAC to factory settings just because it was given to me and i just want all the non sense deleted. But if I was to restore my MAC would I still be able to play the games i've downloaded and put on hard drive? Or would I not be able to because computer cant find files when I plug in my hard drive to put more games on it?

Edit: Or I could just make another account on the MAC and delete the user that he used all the time? Would that still clear up space or no?

if you wipe your mac your games will still work, you just wont be able to put any new ones on or see the existing ones. all you have to do is once your mac is wiped, just reinstall wbfs manager. then all will be peachy
