Gaming Question about acessible content & updating the console

Does anyone know what I wont be able to do if I get a N3DS w/ 9.0/9.2 and decide to stay on this firmware?

Like for example:

Would playing games even work? Online?
Eshop?
Browser? etc.


idk how forced updates are when it comes to the 3ds.

You can't access eshop if you are not on latest system version.
Browser is working fine.
Playing game is working
Playing online is (was?) working as long as there's no new update available to download. (because it will ask you to update, and you need latest version to access eshop to get the update)

I see.

There's no workaround to patch/update game for online without being forced to update the system Im guessing.


I guess I'll just try to get a second hand 3ds xl/n3ds xl in the future if sky3ds stops working.
