Hacking Question about Acekard 2i's cheat function

Hey, I was wondering something about the Acekard 2i's cheat function.

Does it work with separate cartridges, or only ROMs on the Acekard?

What I mean is lets say I have a cheat for pokemon soul silver. Could i activate that cheat, take out the acekard, and put the soul silver cartridge in, and it would work? or, would the cheat only work if i had a soul silver ROM on the acekard?

does the cheat function work like an ARDS basically? or would it just be better to purchase an ARDS?

Doesn't work like that. But you can download NitroHax to do that. NitroHax is a homebrew which allows cheat loading from a flashcard onto a retail card. There is a 2MB limit on the cheat file so I suggest you edit the file using R4CCE. What I did was I downloaded the latest CHEAT.XML from the Temp DB and and opened up 2 windows of R4CCE. Loaded the XML into one window and nothing in the other. Copied the games that I owned into the blank one and saved it as a CHEAT.XML on the root of my SD card.

I see, so itd be just a waste of money if I bought an Acekard 2i and another ARDS

Do you know if its possible to use NitroHax on a DSi XL 1.4?

Nitrohax does not work on a DSi currently.
