Sooo we now have the opening video to Project x Zone, the spiritual successor to Namco x Capcom:

The animation is spectacular and action angles are so amazing, but I still don't feel like it surpasses NxC's opening animation:

I feel that the overall art style for PxZ is more refined and streamlined to be more like modern animations, but I still feel that NxC had more soul in its animation, more feeling. Both openings kinda skip frames a lot to make it seem more fast paced though haha :P

And it may be that I like NxC;s opening more because of the song too... who knows, either they are both great openings and I've watched them countless times just because of how awesome they are.

What do you guys think?

The NxC opening is just better in general.
The song is better.
The direction is better.
Video to music syncing is better.
The urgency/despair portion is better done. (The extra bit of detail on KOS-MOS' heartbeat was neat)
The "combining all our powers" at the end is better.

As for localization, PxZ has a pretty good chance as it doesn't suffer from the problems NxC faced.
All/most of the series' are either modern or well known over here.
It's an early title in the console's life instead of one near the end.
People high up in the related companies who interact with the western fans are actively pushing for it.
It might take a while, but we might actually see it over here at some point.

Yes! I absolutely love that struggle scene, fit very well with the music and got me pumped.
