Hacking PSP2000 on 5.50 Prome-2

So I just finally after years replaced my psp screen with a new screen (wich sadly had dead pixels... but ok)

And I seem to be running 5.50 prome-2

Is there any reason to update???

And if so what would be the best steps to take since it's already modded and not clean.

I also seem to have misplaced the official memory stick. Does those adapters work good or should I just get a new official one???

1. Yes, there's plenty of reasons to update to 6.6X, first being the better game and homebrew compatibility. There is also the stability that later PRO CFWs give you (5.50 Prome is basically the first versions of PRO, made by the same team).

2. Yes, the SD adapters work fine. I use the one with dual slots and works perfectly. Read/write speeds depend mostly on the SD cards you use rather than the adapter itself, so you should be fine with a modern SD card. Not to mention SD cards are cheaper and have bigger capacity.

3. The best steps to take would be to first uninstall CFW and revert back to 5.50 OFW, then update to 6.6X OFW, then install CFW from there.

That's a late reply but I found out by posting elsewhere and by ofcourse testing myself. That it's not worth the hassle.

1) Zero issues with the homebrew emulators I use.

2) Yup figured that out by trying.

3) Yeah not gonna do that. It would also bring the hassle of trying to convert the theme I'm using. And it's also not as simple as just uninstaling it.

personally, I suggest lme for cfw. pro can be entered through fast recovery as long as you've installed it. then, ofw, by holding down one of the buttons. triple boot setup. that's how I have mine.
