Gaming PSP Screen

Can you replace the PSP 1000 screen with the PSP 2000 screen?
I need an answer pretty quickly.

no, because the phat is bigger than the 2000, it would not fit

simple answer is no because the 2000's screen is slightly bigger than the 1000 screen so it wouldn't fit the chassis

That can be modified to fit it, I believe the question regarded the power and compatability. The best solution is to buy a screen and test it yourself.
