Hi

Apologies if this is in the site somewhere but I cannot find an answer to this. I am pretty new to PSP hacking after spending most of my time doing the WII but I'm au fait with programs etc.

I have a PHAT PSP 1000- original OFW was 3.52. I used the hellcat recovery tool to get CFW after updating to 5.03.
I want to play backup copies.
What do I do?
Do I downgrade to 1.5?
Stay at CFW and load through this?
What loaders can I use and where do I put it?

Thanks in advance

So you've updated to 5.03, used HC to go to 5.00 M33? If yes, install 5.50 GEN-A, then GEN-B, then GEN-D, and finally GEN-D2. Now you can play all ISO's!

If no, use ChickHEN to enable homebrew and then use HC to install 5.00 M33 and then follow the steps to get to GEN-D2.

Also because you likely don't know ISO files go in X:\ISO\ (where X:\ is the drive letter of the PSP MS). Then in the recovery menu (hold R when booting PSP) select Configuration > UMD Mode and change it to either M33 driver or the Sony driver. Then load the ISO from the XMB under the Game menu.
