Well, this one has got me stumped. I repair PSPs and someone came up to me a few days back asking for help repairing his. The problem with his is that when in game the screen to quit the game always pops up. Normally this would mean a stuck/faulty Home button or that the button strip is making an improper connection. However, this problem only occurs in-game. When using other applications like the Internet Explorer, there is no problem. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, so I was hoping someone here might know. Any ideas?

I'd recommend reflashing it and the memory card.

Something like MacroFire could cause it if he didn't know what he's doing.

New detail, charger doesn't like to work sometimes. I doubt these are connected though. I'll see what he's done with the PSP beforehand.

home-button thing, could perhaps be a umd problem too.
opening the umd door while in a game opens the quit-menu too, and i've noticed some umd's can trigger this even with the door closed.

Oh wow, can't believe I forgot that. Haven't used my UMD drive in ages, totally forgot it does that.

i used to have it with wipeout pulse, quite annoying having the home-button screen pop up in the middle of a race.
no longer a problem though, with the psn version on my go.
