Well a friend of mine just got a new PSP and he want to flash it.

So he has a PSP with the 3.50 should he downgrade to 3.40 custom?

I didn't even realize that there was 3.90 already

Also yes OP's friend should downgrade and then update with cfw. It's worth it. Or whatever you do with those new lite psp's. prolly with pandora's battery.

IIRC 3.90 added Skype support.
