guys i am confused between psp retroarch emulator, stadalone emulator etc.
where can I find the one that works best? I'm confused

Try standalone and retroarch's version and see which one is the best suit for you. :) To me, I prefer retroarch's version because I can add art boxes and screenshots to it and standalone cannot do that.

Depends on the game, I usually go for the libretro core, but for more demanding games like Dante's Inferno I go for the standalone version (GLES2 build to be specific).

That's true but I am fine with Dante's Inferno for PS3 so no needed for PSP version but good for people who need it for PPSSPP then.
 
It is better to use the separate emulators because the person developing the separate emulators has had the chance to get that system running on the PSP. With multi emulators that team/person has to worry about multiple systems and esp. with Retroarch you only get a limited number of systems, and on top of that they have to worry about all the other systems Libretro is emulating Retroarch on.

If you want I can recommend you to emulators that I use on my PSP and/or links that I got them from or even my own files!
