Hiya, so my little brother handled me this PSP 'Street' E-1004 and it had 6.60 OFW and it was a bit glitched so I thought I would need to update to the latest firmware and then soft mod it, I downloaded 6.61 OFW from Sony's website, copied over to the PSP's memory card and updated the system.
By updated I mean it froze over on 99% and then went back to 80% and again to 99% and the same went on for an hour, so I figured I would shut it down, after turning it back on it was on 6.61 OFW this time so I just figured it installed it successfully since its been working so far.

But how can I install CFW on 6.61? I tried downgrading 6.61 to 6.60 using Chronoswitch Downgrader but to no avail since it launches the SCE updater and then the PSP turns off, I also tried PRO-C2 6.61 and nothing worked, tried LME 6.61 CFW and nothing worked as well, I'm literally stuck and I dunno what to do, help plz?

6.61 requires the v6 downgrader, if you want to go back to 6.60 or any lower firmware, you'll need to use Chronoswitch v6.1:

6.61 is currently not supported by the main fork of Pro CFW as far as I know, your only options are ME, LME and LightSpeed:

Now, since I adore Pro, I'd personally suggest downgrading to a vanilla version of 6.60 and starting from there. Since you can't downgrade directly to 6.60 and you have a PSP-Street/E-1000 so you can't go down to 6.20, 6.39 should work fine. Cheers! ;)

EDIT: Nevermind, the 6.60 bug was fixed. Get the v6.1 version of the downgrader and you should be golden.
