Hacking psp dual nub

Does making a dual nub (without razor, I'll probably use K.A.O's mod) affect the use of the actual square,triangle,circle and x buttons? Also, would the diagonal directions work on the dual nub? Like, as in pushing square and triangle together = pushing diagonally north west on the dual nub?

Not at all, if your wires isnt in the way obviously

Guys, I asked K.A.O and he said it's alguds. Doing this mod will not affect the original buttons, and will give diagonal support.
