My psp quit reading disc. I swap out the laser and motor with ones that work. It still wont't read them. I think my issue is with the mobo. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be.

It's definitely a hardware issue.
Make sure your ribbon cable is ACTUALLY connected; I put together a lot of PSPs forgetting about it, and seeing the UMD drive won't work.
Look at the "slot" for the ribbon cable on the Mobo, see if it looks damaged. You might have been too rough with it.
