PSP 1001 Max storage size

I have a PSP 1001, what type of card does everyone recommend and what is the max size that will work.

if you go for the official sony stuff, i think the max size is like 32gb according to google, but very expensive, if you go the microsd route i've heard people go up to 256gb if they force format it to fat32, but i've personally started to have problems at 64gb and above

idk preferrably a real one, i have sandisk ones in mine and they work fine
