Use clrmamepro for exemple to load the dat-o-matic db and rename your roms (or get a "good" romset).

This is pretty sweet, but that database system is a huge turnoff for me personally, as I often like to play ROM hacks that typically aren't on emulator databases.

There's a huge issue with Kirby's Dream Land 3. In the original game, water was transparent so you could see whats in it. Now the water is just solid gray and I can't see anything.

I would seriously consider rewording it instead of sound like you're being ungrateful. There's a fine line between constrictive criticism and being unnecessarily rude. He's doing
this from his own time and free well. So yeah, that was unnecessarily rude.

"Is there a reason the database is necessary to load ROMs? I feel that the emulator would be better and more appealing if it wasn't needed" or something. Sheesh.

That would be pseudo hi-res mode 7, used in a fair no. of games. Snes9x has emulated for years, not entirely sure why it's acting up on Switch. Looks like it's
not emulating it right for some reason.
