iPod Touch 1G
MINE GOT STOLEN
no ipod touch 3g support :|
Too early to update my guide?
Wait.... iPhone 3G support!
I didn't even realize I could use my TI-84 plus calc till a few days ago (I know I'm late), I guess it payed off after all. I needed it for my math class, cost $130
If I remember, I don't think that is possible at the moment.
website seems to be down though i am using a slow connection that is quite unreliable so let me get this straight this is a linux emultor for iphone????
some iphone/ipod touch models (the older ones) already had a linux port, this does not emulate anything. it is a psfreedom port for those iphones/iptouches that can run linux
Annoying thing is I upgraded to the iPhone 4 and gave my 3G to my mum. May have to borrow it
I think this is related news: PSFreedom on iPhone
Using your iPhone to jailbreak the PS3.
Seems like using a dongle/jailbreak mod may become obsolete sooner than people think.
isnt that a bit complex to do? do you need linux on your iphone?
If this isn't too hard to do, my PS3 is so jailbroken.
Yes you need an older iPhone that already has the capabilities to run Linux on it. Though realistically, it's on par with all the Android PSGroove releases that require you to boot into custom roms and such to get it to work. But it's not for the faint of heart.
If anyone is inclined here's a decent tutorial on how to get Android on your iPhone
The tar.gz from the developer only has binaries for the iPod Touch. So you need to compile the binaries for the iPhone on your own. Proceed at your own peril!
Oh and the backup manager doesn't work with this build. So don't get too excited.
From the README:
At the time, Backup Manager isn’t working (and no, it’s not due to
the /dev_bdvd patch), but I’m working on fixing that.
Backup Manager may not be working, but has anyone managed to install ANY pkg file yet, such as the FTP server?
Edit: I had to unplug my ipod touch 1g from the ps3 to get my stupid usb stick to show up. Woo! FTP! This is so cool. :3
Looks simple enough, though some may not want to mess around with the bootloader
