A user on discord by the name of sfljohn has been sharing his website, which under further investigation is full of copyright violations as they have uploaded multiple items directly to their site for download. Examples are such as RetroArch, Checkpoint, and Switch-LAN-Play. He locks the downloads behind requiring accounts on his site.

Due to the fact I rarely use gbatemp, I cannot actually link the site. As such, I'll just say it's scenefolks, and that I archived the list of switch homebrew they have up on web.archive.

The former are uploads by the copyright holders, the latter has nothing as far as I can see.

I say that since this guy uploaded them on his website, he is claiming that their his own vs giving a link to the download page.

I don't see how, he always states the author of the homebrew.

He gives a local download link on the site which is uploaded by him, okay, but he also gives a "remote" download link which takes you to either GitHub or any page where the homebrew is originally hosted, he also gives links to the GitHub page for the homebrew and also a link to the discussion thread if there's one.

Enabling piracy + various hacks = totally fine.

But God forbid you link an open sourced project and even credit the creators, OMG somebody execute that person!
I'm not fine with either of those though :P
And I'm assuming by "various hacks" you mean cheating and shit

Not really. I remember people started to upload tons of homebrew they weren't copyright holder for, just because it was a new feature and GBATemp was distributing more "experience" point if you uploaded stuff. I found almost every homebrew I developed (PKSM and Checkpoint, for instance) redistributed there and uploaded from people I don't even know who the f*** they are
