I'm working on a PS5 slim edm 040 that boots to safe mode / attempts to repair the console storage but hangs at 5 percent and switches off.

This is the uart error

Unknown - Possible related to Secure Loader Error (Southbridge, APU, SSD) - PlayStation 5 shuts off no warning, message etc.

Im thinking I should replace the SSD controller but wanted to ask if anyone has come across this and knows what the issue could be?

Hi, if you have one on hand, it could be a good test to perform. You could also try doing a reball first. The main issues are already reported in the UART diagnostics. Is a CXD90069GG Southbridge installed on the board? Either way, let us know
