So i recently bought a ps4 (slim version) and i have a constant lag in games which drive's me crazy...
i checked out on youtube if it is suppose to act like that but in the videos it looks really smooth, i tried doing a system reset, reseting settings and rebuilding the database a couple of times but nothing really changed..
i'm not too sure if i should give it to someone to check it or it is just something i might missed. i was starting experiencing lags on rdr2,god of war and crap. my final fantasy xv isn't even playable. -_-
i can say it's been about 3 or so months since i bought it but still i'm not too sure that there is suppose to be a console that can't handle games like that.. some people told me i had to buy the pro verison, it is really stupid i should add about 50-100$ in order to stop the lags in games. i tried to check even the tv input and connected it to my screen monitor. nothing.
(oh and the menu is lagging aswell)

If you're getting severe lag, it's almost 100% likely your PS4 is overheating and throttling down to prevent damage to the SoC.

If you bought this second hand, then you likely bought a broken system, or a "refurbished" system that wasn't actually refurbished properly/at all.

Best suggestion would be to see if you can get it replaced from whomever you bought it from, but since that's unlikely your best bet would be to either take it somewhere, or open it yourself and make sure the inside isn't covered with dust. Also make sure you have proper airflow to the console, don't keep it in a tight enclosed space unless there's proper ventilation.

If you are experiencing lags+glitches like characters making a T pose, then its a harddrive issue 100%, if its just lag then it could be bad airflow+thermal paste issue or maybe the psu is acting up inside the console which can also cause lag as per my own experience with ps4s over the years, original models of the PS4 would outright shut down or restart is some instances when under heavy load because the psu was not providing the right amount of power to the board, haven't heard of such things happening to the slim model but it could be a possibility if the psu is faulty, I would recommend showing it to a professional if its not a harddrive issue.

Skelletonike @ Skelletonike: No idea what that is tbh, is that like the iso or something?
