So these are games that fully patched at the time of writing are at 4.55 or less.

The tool you're using says which firmware the game FULLY PATCHED requires... R&C is 4.55 but the latest patch 1.01 which is mandatory makes it 4.70.

Lots more games...virtually the entire PS4 library! While 5.53 is mandatory to play on PSN, I don't think any of the games require anything above 5.05. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

GoW is playable (& finishable) on 5.05 from feedback I've read around the net.

Wouldn't it just be easier to find the first game that was released with a higher firmware than 4.55 and assume every game released there after will not be playable?

Pretty much anything released within the past year.
