Hi guys

I saw this website :
ps4portal .net /ps4-downgrade-to-1-76-official/
where it give a downgrader tool ...
Someone tested it ?
That's really look like strange ... they say downgrade work in 6.00 ^^'

And if this tool is fake, do you know if we can downgrade 5.55 to 5.05 by other tool or way ?

Thanks :)

Its fake.

No, none at the moment.

I believe all the tools to do it are out there just no tutorial

Going by the f0f write up, you can't just downgrade any console. It's rather vague but it sounds like you need kernel access and maybe a backup of something from your console when it was running that earlier os.

I've not found anything to say the tools are out there, only that "You can downgrade right now ... you have all the keys you need."

You are supposed to write your own tools.

It's not clear whether you need a backup from your console when it was running the version you want to downgrade to.

It's not clear whether you need a kernel exploit.

Either of those would make it pointless for the majority of people who want to downgrade.

Why cant you downgrade? Psp had a pandora battery that let you do it. I also cant understand why ps4 cant follow in the wii u footsteps by installing something like a haxchai over a game from the store to access homebrew instead of browser hack

You can't downgrade because Sony learnt from the PSP to not include a secret way that allowed the service centre to downgrade. They tightened it up a bit on the PS3, although for a short time that was exploitable too, they learnt from their mistakes and fixed them.

Because nobody has found a similar vulnerability on the PS4. It's impossible to say whether it's possible or not. I think people wouldn't want to burn it while the PS4 is current, because Sony would block it anyway.

Yea. I remember when i had the wii u, no information was available. It was only after the switch came out then suddenly homebrew gained ground. Reason i mentioned wii u is because i noticed the similarities;a custom ip(browser hack), to launch homebrew/special menu on ps4. Both dont save to system having go restart the whole process each time you cold boot. I also understand if the developers release the goodies right now it breaks the console and gives sony reason to patch. I also watched the ps3 video history, how it was unhackable for 3 years untill failoverflow came along, and i learned theres always a back door in a system for sony to be able to use to fix the system.

Downgrade requires a whole next level of hacking the PS4 far above HEN.

We have no keys (yet).

Now let’s tackle this bit:

Haxchi on PS4, what would that achieve?

You turn on console and load HEN from an over written game icon... is t that the exact same number of steps as turning on and loading HEN from browser cached?

I don’t see the point right now.

Fixing doesn't necessarily mean downgrading.

While f0f have discussed possible downgrades, it's unclear whether it requires a hackable console to start with. i.e. people with 5.05 might be able to downgrade, but those on 5.50 not.

An haxchi would let you run homebrew without internet/ip redirect, plus all things runable on homebrew. If you can launch hen over a game icon it sounds the same, but dont you need moria also to access the debug settings? Haxchi is a 3 in 1, launches homebrew, launches cfw, and launches an installer like mira does(wup installer for wii u)

You don’t need internet when it’s cached.

You can change the icon of the web browser using ftp.

PS4 doesn’t have CFW, and Mira doesn’t have the “installer” debug settings does.
