Hacking Ps4 4.55, where to begin for playing backups?

So the scène is really on a roll now!

I got a ps4, 4.55, non jailbroken yet. Im gonna be honest, i wanna pirate the games.

Can anyone tell me step by step how to achieve this?

And is there a list of working ps4 games?

You cannot FTP games to ps4 directly yet.

A 64GB+ HDD or thumb stick (exFat) is all that is required and will cover the biggest games.

Right now we know loading backups requires an exfat formatted hdd and has to be installed on internal, (db mod can move to external through ftp and editing) and we know you cant move them to external using extended storage on 4.55.

We also know M0rph3us1987 wont mod the holygrail HEN bin to load from external, so thats clearly possible.

As for transferring to internal directly: I would hope its possible, but it would still require a stub fake signed PKG to "install" it to the xmb, or a backup loader to identify it within the designated directory.

For now a thumb stick or hdd is easy enough to get hold of and use.

Biggest games I have installed are pushing 46GB.

Capacity of PS4 discs are 50gb dual layered, so a 64gb stick would do fine (59gb-ish usable).

So is this a 'tethered' jailbreak? Meaning i have to repeat the proces over again when i shut down the ps4?

Is there a cfw on its way?

4.55 is pretty stable now and with all the payloads its worth the update so you dont have to down patch 4.05-4.55 games.

No worries.. baby...

Im saying its pretty much on par with 4.05 now thanks to the hard work of devs to port payloads.

4.55 means a few more games open up to is to be able to play without patching.

4.05 95% stable 4.55 roughly 90% stabke according to peoples reports.

There are no hard and fast figures here.

On 4.05 mine has launched flawlessly all but one time in the last few weeks, and I have been using it daily.

Thanks for info. I have a ps4 still on v1.76 and debating if I should upgrade to 405 or 455.
