Hacking PS3Key Firmware v2.1 released in two flavors‏

I just received an Emai from PSPkey stuff

We've just released v2.1 of the PS3Key firmware in two
different flavors...

One is the easy-to-use .upd file which you can use with any
genuine PS3Key using the PS3Key Updater Application for
Windows.

The other is an 'open' HEX file which is designed for use on
generic devices other than PS3Key dongles.

The v2.1 firmware update includes all of the features in v2 and
also fixes a few other minor bugs.

not sure how to update the clone though
guess you have to use FLIP
dont know what chipset it is using though

Wonder if that means someone could use a device like a PSP or an iPod to emulate a dongle running that firmware.

no it means device like the AVR Key

Well probably anything could be emulated. Make an eboot emulator of the key, place the firmware file in the folder, execute, plug into PS3, and wait.
