Grettings to all.
Just wondered if any members have repaired the YLOD on PS3?
I have just done one for the third time. (Yes. The same one)
Following various online guides, I managed to get it working.
The first time it lasted about 15 minutes. The second time, I used more heat for longer and it lasted about 2 weeks.
Just finished the third try- Added flux this time and reflowed for longer/hotter.
I am just waiting on the hard drive to test it out and hope it will last a bit longer this time.
Anyone here had any longer term success? What temperature/technique did you use?
I have seen some reballing kits for PS3 and think that they may be the only "long term" solutuion.
Anyone ever done a PS3 reball?
Appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
