PS3 v3.70 downgrade method released!

UPDATED THE POSITION OF METLDR THAT WAS WRONG

update 2 We have made an application to perform the process without using the HEX editor

put your bytereversed flash in donor and downgrade.bin on recipient ..

If at any time during the process you get red sreen (RSOD) STOP IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE I'M GOING TO GET that fixed in a new version (V2)

thanks for the update, but the legality of the files is something that we probably do not want to test.... I suggest removing that link.

The file is only an executable and a .dll, it's the patcher. it replace the manual hex editing.

On topic: That is a lot of wires, but as stated before it seems to be done to solder pads which makes it a slight bit easier.

No, only 3.70.

So you need to update to 3.70 Official firmware first.
Then you will need soldering experiences to dump/re-write your NOR chipset memory.
