Am i best to buy third party controllers or ps2 to ps3 adapters? The first party controllers are very expensive... are they all worth it? Whats your tought?

According to me, yes. I was thinking about buying a 3rd part controller then i remember about something when i had PS2, i bought a 3rd party controller and 1 week later it was broken, bought a new one 2 weeks later broken, ever since then i havent really trusted 3rd parties, unless its for chargers and stuff like that.

Don't get third party controllers for the ps3, Sony blocked them in a firmware update.

To make sure that you buy official controllers from them, perhaps?

There was a news post about it here when it happened, but only a few older controllers were blocked.

same reason ms blocked third party memory units

but also over some alleged fire complaints from these knockoff controllers (which I could see happening with a poor quality battery)
