Hardware Ps3 superslim power and cable

I have a white ps3 superslim from japan. I understand i can use 100-240v ...worldwide ...but my question is about the figure of 8 cable power lead i should use.

Based in the uk, can i use 3a fused cable lead or should i use 5a lead?

Or is it best just to use the japanese lead with a 3-pin uk travel adapter.

Your information and further input on this would be greatly appreciated.

always best to use the original power lead with an adapter, that way you will not damage the device....................sudeki300

All you need is an adapter plug, you do not need actual converter that changes voltage or frequency.

PS3 uses universal power supply.

thanks for the replies.

I do have an adapter plug byt i would prefer to use a direct UK cable due to size constraints near the socket.

would a uk fused 3-pin figure 8 power lead do the job?
