PS3: SSD over HDD?

Overall, the difference isn't significant, but there's one exception: GTA V which runs very quickly via SSD while it's super slow via HDD.

I honestly wouldn't recommend playing GTA V (gameplay is a bit disappointing imo), but there's others who enjoy it, so it's a personal preference.

I just swapped a slim 160gb for 240gb ssd and its a massive difference. I think the HDD might be failing though, need to test it to be sure.

Not sure why we needed a post for a year old video as if it was some new fangled discovery. Not to mention, the info in the video was already old info at the time it was posted to YouTube.

I wanted to know people's opinions here as they tend to be more reliable than YouTube.

I'll be buying one. My PS3s have the default HDDs (40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 160GB) so there isn't much space, anyhow.

I'll use it for my PS4. I can't believe Tekken 7 loading times are so long it's almost unacceptable.

god of war for the ps4's loading times seem to be pretty shitty as well.
