Hi,

I tried to google, but it's very confusing. All am getting is very old info.

I have a Slim PS3 on OFW 3.56. I also have a friend who has E3 flasher. What are my options of installing CFW? Do I still need E3 flasher to install CFW? or is there an easier way?

Thanx a lot in advance. Desperately waiting for a reply :)

out of luck sorry, cant be downgraded as 3.56 is default firmware, only hope i guess is cobra ODE or waiting

You should be able to use MinVerCheck to find out if your PS3's lowest possible firmware is 3.55 or lower. If so, then you can use a hardware flasher (E3 Flasher is probably still the recommended one) to downgrade it.
