Do I need to jailbreak my ps3 each time I close it ?

I mean the two apps folder disappear each time I restart the PS3 and I can't launch the backup manager.

So, is there a way to not have to jailbreak each time I want to close/open the machine? Is that normal?

Thanks in advance

as far as I know you must perform the jailbreak every time to access the backup manager. Not sure what you mean by open/close.
That's exactly what I mean thanks.

The jailbreak mode doesn't survive a restart or a power off. So as you said, you need to perform the jailbreak every time you turn off or restart your PS3. You could in theory just leave it on all the time

wait a few weeks and there will (most likely) be a slightly modified firmware or similar that will make the use of psjb a one-time thing...
