ah sorry, misread it. I found this, http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...-nexus-7-ps-3-controller-without-rooting.html

I have a older tablet, but it has a full USB port, and I can plug in my ps3 controller using the micro usb - usb cable. It detects it automatically. If you want to use bluetooth to connect it, you'll need to root your Nexus 7.

No problem! I play alot of emulations on my tablet/phone, and using a controller makes it even more awesome!

    I forgot
Rooting usually doesn't remove any content.

As for using your PS3 controller on your Nexus, should work just fine. You'll need to pair the controller to your device's Bluetooth ID, which can be annoying if you also use the controller for your PS3 as well (as you'll have to pair it each time you connect to your PS3 as well). Otherwise, it works great and I've used it just about since the app was released and I've had no problems with it.
