Hacking ps3 fat cfw 4.82 CEX Ferrox HDD upgrade?

Hi, I want to upgrade my ps3 fat cfw, do I need to reinstall the ferrox again through usb flash disk when I insert the new hdd in the ps3? Thanks for the answers. I don't want to make mistakes with this.

You can't really make a mistake on this - if you have a NOR console you will be forced to reinstall the operating system (any of your choice that the console will accept as an update) to the new disk, if you have a NAND one it's all stored on flash in the first place
