There were a lot of phones with USB-C so while it's a different market, gaming controllers with Micro USB started feeling outdated without a C port.

Yeah agreed I just meant to say it was widely adopted later so we suffer now but yeah I agree its bizarre not to use it now...
Do those DS4 controllers have comfortable Start / Select buttons (Share / Whatever) that aren't sunken in? Because that's my dealbreaker with PS4 controllers.
