So, I've been using my original PS3 sixaxis controller for a while now and everything worked great, but yesterday it just went completely dead for no reason.
I mean, I didn't do anything unusual to it, didn't spill anything on it, didn't overuse it, didn't lend it to someone, it was just sitting near my console.

So, when I plugged it in using an USB cable - nothing, no charging (4 blinking) lights, no reaction whatsoever. I took it apart, disconnected the battery, then reconnected it back - didn't help obviously.
When I connect it to a computer - same stuff - no reaction at all as if it doesn't even exist but the battery is getting warm, so it's not the battery? And the motherboard is hot as hell.

WTF? Does it mean that the motherboard just decided to die for no reason?

Wondering how far you got into this problem?

It happened to 3 x PS3 controller 2 weeks ago. The only one functioning is one that's paired to the PSP-Go and keeping that and PSP-Go charged and running

I'm pretty sure I updated the 2xPS3 consoles to the last official firmware (Never modded) and the controllers were worken then. I just find it weird that all 3 stopped working
