PS1/2 PS3 Back up

So I'm planing to get a new Hard drive since there is like 5GB left on my PS3

but if I change the hard drive, and do the back up on the PS3, Do I have to download all the DLC and games I downloaded before on PSN or the back up is not ONLY for save data and also does a back up for the DLC and every game I got from PSN so I don't have to download em all over again?
will that also put all the user accounts on the new hard drive or I have to make it again?

If you try to put back in your old drive later on everything will get wiped again. My advice back up everything to an ext. hdd before poping in the new hdd. Make sure you get the biggest drive for int. use the ps3 can handle.
