Hacking ps3 4.75 ofw

I cant find any good tutorials that will get me cfw. I keep finding broken links and fake files.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You need to downgrade first to 3.55ofw for the hacks to work

And you have to have a console that was on 3.55 or below at one point and time. If your PS3 was shipped with a higher firmware, then you cannot safely downgrade it.

What he said. So the newest slim line PS3 do not work (flip top lids).
Having to get my hands on another PS3 and they're not easy to find not updated

Which model is it? I would suggest looking into a e3 flasher for a slim or a progskeet for a phat.

Its a slim but I bought it in 2011 or something. So I cant just flash it using a usb stick then?

No you need to 1) Find the model number of the unit instead of guessing what the hardware is 2) Assume this is going to be difficult and either you need great soldering skills or computer knowledge or have someone in the area that can do the service for a cost 3) Make sure you read all the required information on PS3 downgrading. It's not a simple or easy process.
