PS1/2 PS2 Expansion Port

On my old PS2 HD Loader stopped recognizing my harddrive and I got a new one, but now this one is doing the same thing. Is this a common issue or is it just my shi*ty luck?

I was playing it a few days ago but switched hard drives (I wanted to see what games where on this one hard drive I had because I need it for my computer now and all the games on it should be on my other drive, it's a 120 GB drive I never used and only put 2 games on to test...).

Is the port damaged or is there something I am doing wrong? If I get yet another PS2 would this happen again, am I better off just burning games? I prefer to use a hard drive so I don't have to swap disks all the time...

Well it sounds like a PS2 issue though I cannot be certain. Have you tried re-downloading HD Loader?

As far as Swapping discs, its not that bad really. I mean what did you do before HD Loader, before consoles with HDDs?

My first console (Other than PSP with CFW and NDS with Flash Carts which aren't really consoles because they are portable) was on XBox with a hard drive. Then was a PS2 once I found out about HDL. Then My Wii and XBox 360, I swap on those (I wanna get an extra HD for my Wii so I don't have to)...

I have tried HD Loader and my HD Advance Disk and they both don't work...

That's besides the point, the hard drive should work...

put a piece of cardboard/credit card at the end of the HDD do when you put it in there is no gap. This will give it pressure and push all the pins from the BBA into the HDD making better connection
