Hi all! I have an original NTSC PlayStation 1 (model SPCH-7501) that is giving me issues. I have had it stored in its product box a few years now, but decided to bring it back out to play. It has a modchip that lets me play imports and copies, but I do not know what chip. Now when I try to play this on a modern LG (Model 55UK6500AUA) TV I cannot get a color screen, only black and white. This occurs whether I connect it directly to the composite/component connection in the back of the TV, or if I connect it to my Yamaha RX-3050 AVR.
However, I can rule out the console and AV cable being defective because it DOES play color on my Samsung UN46F6400 TV.
What can I do to get this to play on my preferred LG TV? Is there an adapter I can pick up?
