Thanks, will I need a data transfer cable? Or will putting my SD card directly in my PC be fine?
The SD can be done with a card reader. The MCD you'll have to use either USB or FTP. The install guide for the CFW goes into using VitaShell for transfers.

If FTP is a option then that's fine, I'm sure once I have it all setup I won't transfer anything more unless emulators improve

Most emulators already work great (via retroarch) tbh. Obviously the hardware has limitations but NES, SNES, MegaDrive/Genesis, GB/GBC/GBA all work fine. Plus with the Adrenaline app you get a fully emulated PSP CFW, allowing for native running of PSP ISOs/CSOs and PS1 eboots. A handful of games (literally like 5 of them) have issues. The main one people post about is some Digimon game, but other than that compatibility seems great.

Recommended cores are NES: any. SNES: Snes9x 2005 or 2005 Plus. Genesis: Genesis Plus GX. GB/GBC/GBA: VBA Next.

I'm not familiar with vWii but I'm guessing it's similar. It loads up a custom version of the final PSP FW, complete with XMB. The Vita supports PS1 and PSP eboots. The advantage Adrenaline has, at least from a running games standpoint, is that you don't need PSP eboots. Any ISO or CSO file will work, and being able to compress them into CSO's can save a ton of space. Example: Crisis Core as an ISO is 1.6GB. As a CSO it's 1.3GB. The other advantage it has is VSH plugins and CWCheat compatibility. RetroArch also includes the PCSX ReARMed core, which allows PS1 to be ran as ISO instead of eboot, but you lose the ability to set CPU speeds and cheats are a pain to use in RA.

Right on, I'm familiar with VHS and PSP cfw. Ebooks for psx are fine and I already have all the ISO and CSO files that I want from my PSP go and slim, I just can't wait to have it all on 1 console then sell the other psps

Yeah my n3dsXL won't be replaced but I wanted to play a few JRPGs on the Vita. Do most Vita Games run on cfw? Once I buy the physical copies I don't want to lug em around everywhere.

You should be fine as long as you install NoNpDRM. As for PSP being blurry, Adrenaline doesn't really have that problem, and it has settings for resolution scaling as well as anti-aliasing, sharpening, and etc.

Do Vita backups run well? It'll be a week before I get my memory card

Yeah. I'm using that with a 128GB SanDisk, the red + grey series. Also, if you wanted to you could start the process and install CFW now. It only takes like ~15MB of space to get h-encore and VitaShell installed. You won't wanna go crazy installing games yet, but you could get the exploit installed, configuration moved to ur0 instead of ux0 and etc.
Well I might as well wait, someone just messaged me to buy my SNES classic for 100$. So I'll be able to buy em 54$ for both is really good.

Also I should probably remove my PSN account from the Vita once I do it right?

The SanDisk one is 4$ more and a little slower

I personally haven't heard of anyone getting banned, but what you can do is, once you get Henkaku installed just sign out of PSN, and only turn WiFi on when you need it. I'm assuming if you did something like cheat online they'd probably snag you but for the most part it seems like Sony's given up on policing it. For example, most people install the updates for their NoNpDRM games direct from Sony's server, and haven't gotten banned.

Hmm, I'm just afraid of my PSN account being banned, I bought so much stuff on the ps4 so I'll make a secondary PSN just for my Vita and re-add my few friends.

And like I said the SanDisk card is a little slower a d 4$ more so I'll get the samsung

When you change accounts it's going to format the memory card, so I'd do that before anything else. That way it's on a new account before the exploit is ever even run.

Yeah I'll have to, it's gonna be a bit of learning when I get the stuff but I'm sure it can't be much harder than the other consoles I hacked. Now to find a good sauce for Vita Games. What format should I be looking for?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'm second guessing myself on these SD cards, I afraid to buy a fake one

It won't be fake, and even if it is, if you order through amazon, just give them a call and they'll refund you fast. Amazon is very reliable and probably won't sell you fake. Plus it's only a few bucks so it shouldn't break your bank account either.

i hope not, and I know it's only a few dollars, which is a few dollars I should be putting towards food. But this whole thing is technically only possible because I'm selling off some stuff.
