Yeah, that sounds like there's some interference. How well shielded is the cable? Is your computer or the cable near something that could be interfering? Maybe too close to the power outlet.

I think what I'll do is go to the store tomorrow to get a male to male AUX cable that's heavily shielded.

My OBS likes to screw up the audio alot.
Have you tried recording it in another software in lossless format?

I am using male stereo 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter (random adapter i got from ebay or somewhere) and plug it into a Focusrite soundcard.
What others are saying is true, the Digital to Analog converters inside your soundcard are crucial for recording.
However if you wanna make sure your cables are working, try them on a different soundcard (a better one would be ideal)
