Hacking Problems with Homebrew

Hello all, this is my first post.
Warning!!! NOOB questions incoming.

I am having issues with a Wii that i bought used.

There was no SD card with the wii when i bought it, it had been reset. I quickly found out that i cant update the Wii, so i cant play the games that i bought (CD) because i need to update the system.

So i started reading in to it, and then saw that i could go to the reset menu, and there it was. Hackmii and homebrew, but i couldnt run any of them.
I have bought an 2 gb SD card, and sucessfully installed hackmii and homebrew. I can enter the Hackmii menu just fine, but when i run homebrew its stuck on the bubble screen, i have read that it can be because of a HCSD card, but i have a regular one.

If anyone can help me with this, i would be eternally greatfull! my daughters cant wait to play the games we have.

Here is some info:

Wii version: 4,1E
hackmii installer v1.2
homebrew version 1.1.2 ios58 v24.31

I took some pictures of my wii home screen and where homebrew is stuck, and i have left it on that screen for 1 hour.

and he bought the SD so it is empty

Oh... Well, I'm dumb. To the OP, try updating using System Settings. If it gives an error, show us.
Also, if he got to Hackmii and installed HBC, it ISN'T empty.

alright i have looked in SD and cant find apps folder.

Did a update from systems menu, got 32004 error code.

when i am in reset menu, i tryed pressing system menu it just goes to home screen, and when pressing system menu hacks, it says "cant find Hacks.ini on Fat device or nand device"

You can get the hacks_hash file here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader/Priiloader/hacks

Your version of Priiloader is old, too. The latest is 0.8.1. You probably can't update because someone had the "block updates" hack enabled.

Should i just copy contents of the zip to root of SD, or do i need to install it ?

alright i downloaded the Priiloader hacks.zip unzipped it and put in root of SD card, this did nothing. The file name is Hash_Hacks.ini on the zip. but it cant find hacks.ini

is there any way i can do a clean install of priiloader and everything i need to get this working ? I really just wanna be able to use my wii, and i cant get a hold on the guy that sold it to me.

Everything looks outdated which actual iOS you using I mean stock or custom there are loads out there

Alright... Were doing this again.
Create the apps folder. This is where all the homebrew apps will be.
Disable the block updates hash in priiloader and update the system. Then, update priiloader.

Im having trouble getting my homebrew to open.... I put all the right things in there but when i open up nintenido sound it wont play the nedwill so what do i need to do in order to get it to work someone please help me
