I am having problems with my new PC.
I got it today and it worked fine but later on the HDD refused to copy/paste things from/to it.
1 time it disappeared from ''My Computer'' so i restarted the PC and there was an screen saying that its being scanned so i waited.
It scanned and i thought it was fixed but no, i still can't copy nor paste things on it.
Anyone know what's going on?

EDIT:I just found a program which checks ur HDD and it says this about the not working one

... Based on that alone, I would take it back. I've never seen that many bad sectors on a new system/drive. That's the kind of result I would expect after a couple years of thrashing.

Then again, it's SeaGate. I have always had low expectations of them. Samsung or WD ftw.

Nah, I have a Seagate that's lasted for a few months. Must be your luck.
Anyway, return it. It's either defective or you must have beaten it with a hammer or something.

That's what he did, it's written in his first post and he got a new working drive.
