I tried to mod smash bros yesterday, but I guess I screwed up bad. Now every time I ty to launch it, it says "The Software has been closed because an error has occurred."
I've: deleted my smash contents folder, removed all mods, fixed the archive bit, reset my save data, downloaded sigpatches, updated cfw, reinstalled smash without updates/dlc, bu but NOTHING has worked. It's not opening! What do I do?

If you install anything else, does it work?
If not, then likely your sigpatches are too old or you're putting them in the wrong location (Hekate and Atmosphere both have their own files in their own folders).

If that works, did you also try obtaining a fresh copy of the base game and latest update from your favorite pirate site? *harhar*
SSBU is really large so maybe the install is corrupted somehow.
FYI, you only need to install the last update as Switch updates contain all previous updates as well.

If you are using an emummc, then maybe there is some data corruption on the SD card.
If you are not using an emummc, then try installing it on the internal memory instead of the sd card (if you have enough memory free internally).

Yeah, my other apps work. I used these sigpatches (extracted them to root of sd.) I've installed it from multiple sources, that hasn't worked. I put it on the NAND, that didn't work either. How can I check for sd corruption?

It worked after applying this fix! Not sure why, but whatever!
