My friend and I tried to hack his psp. Im not sure what motherboard it is, but it is fully hackable.

The first thing we did was place the 6.35 update on his 4gb memory stick. Looking at it now, we assume it was fake.

The update started it launch, but gave a "not started" error.

We then tried to use a pandora and mms combo, and we checked hardware. Then, we turned the psp off, and took the pandora and mms out.

Now, it shows a green light, and black screen. After about 40seconds, it shuts off.

When we try to install 5.00 m33 or 5.00 ofw, it stops at 1% (formatting flash1), then shuts itself off.

Please help, we'd really appreciate it!!!!!!

something has corrupted the partition table for flash1.
you can repair it using pandora battery and magic memory stick.
(I'm using a magic memory stick that install 5.00 M33-4)

First start up the PSP with pandora battery and memory stick
and bring up the main menu of the magic memory stick.

scroll down to NAND Operations and press X
go to Format LFlash option and press X

default partition sizes are:

PSP-1000 (Fat)
Flash0: 24576kb, Flash1: 4096kb, Flash2: 1024kb, Flash3: 960kb

PSP-2000 (Slim)
Flash0: 41984kb, Flash1: 5120kb, Flash2: 4096kb, Flash3: 9344kb

The sizes should be auto detected depending on your PSP.

Press RIGHT on the dpad (above analog stick),
then press 'X' and the NAND will be reformatted.
after the format has finished the NAND will be empty.

Go back to the main menu and try installing the custom
firmware, it should now install without any problems.
