Hardware Problem with my new console 3ds xl.

Hello i have problem.
This is my story:

I bought nintendo 3ds xl with mario kart 7 bundle.I got it, but this came to me in damaged box. I opened it and my console was with firmware 8.1 (console from 2012 cant have this), this is strange, because my friends got this with ~4.3 firmware, its look like somone played on it and send to shop, and then they send it to me.
It was look like i got used console.

I send this console back and i was waiting for exchange.
After a week they sended me 3ds xl with pre installed monster hunter 3 ultimate bundle.


But.. it came to me in this box.
It looks like somone print it and did a box in home, i dont know if this is nomal or i got cheated?

But most important thing is that i didnt get pin code to nintendo club inside...
In first console (bundle with mario kart7) i had 2 codes but i not used it, i send it back with all stuff.

So my questions:

1. Is this box normal, or this is not normal?
2. Every console has pin code inside box? How i can get it now?
3. Should i send it back and claim for send my cash back?

This box not look like from the image, or any bundle i saw on youtube etc.

What do you think? I dont know what to do.
Maybe someone of you got console in box like this, but this is really strange.

i was thinking like you but it came with pre installed monster hunter with 4.5 softoware, i dont think refurb can have that low fw.
also i was looking on web if is there any monster hunter 3 bundle refurbrished and i didnt found anything

You got a 4.5 unit? That's a good thing, not bad

I suggest you count yourself lucky and keep it if it is in good condition.

Yea, 3ds looks like a brand new, but box and no pin inside, maybe its really refurb?
I pay really high price ~240$, and it looks like used, it is not what i was expecting

Definitely looks like a refurb unit. If you have no use for a 4.5 console then you can try returning it or if you want to keep it maybe you can ask for a partial refund or some freebies.

Czasem nie kupiłeś od Mad Games? Niby są na liście ale wałki wkręcają niemiłosierne (wyjmuja kody rejestracyjne, sprzedaja używane konsolki jako nowe ect.)

Sometimes not bought from Mad Games? As if they are on the list but merciless cheat shafts ( remove the registration codes , sell used consoles as new ect . )​

Not necessarily. Gateway themselves have stated that those who are on 4.5 should not update. There may still be some advantages to staying on 4.5 over higher firmware versions.

They said it before 9.3 update, after that, they said that if somone didnt done update to 9.2, they will support all firmwares 4.5-9.2

Jeśli dostałeś konsolkę niezgodną z tym co u nich kupiłeś masz prawo do zwrotu. Na twoim miejscu zostawiłbym sobie tą konsolkę (4.5 to jest luksus na tą chwilę) i skontaktował się w sprawie kodu do CN. Ultima to raczej fachowa firma więc nie powinno być żadnych problemów. Jedynie z wysyłką się opóźniają.

If you got incompatible console with what you have bought from them the right to return . If I were you I would leave for myself this console (4.5 is a luxury at this time ) and contacted with them for CN code . Ultima is rather a professional company so there should be no problems. Only delayed shipment .​

ive never had a box like that from a new console.

i called to the shop and they told me to send it back
anyway i wrote to the nintendo and they told me that this is mistake and it is not normal

its not bad, cause one shop in my country offer new nintendo 3ds without taxes, they imported it somehow from aus, and i think i take it

strange, certainly looks like the kind of box they would probably sell refurbished consoles in, did the console have the serial sticker on it or was the sticker taped to the box not applied to the console......anyways, looked weird, i probably would of kept it for the obscurity factor ....plus 4.x.....who could turn down a 4.x console
