Hello, i have a problem, i was following this tutorial to update boot9strap of my 3ds https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s.html since i still have the first version
and i got stuck at this part "
  1. Reboot holding (Start) during boot to launch the Luma3DS chainloader menu"
usually holding start during boot always started GodMode9 before but now it doesn't work anymore since i followed this tutorial, it just loads the normal 3ds system menu (but it still applies the custom theme)
holding select during boot works though

what could i do to fix it ?
i checked multiple times, all the files are where they should be

try renaming GodMode9.firm to down_GodMode9.firm and then hold down on boot

Try downloading Luma v7.1 and move the boot.firm to your SD card root. Override any existing files. Then try to access to the chainloader.

They need the chainloader first, not GM9.

I know. But it helps to have a fresh file. Please just try what I said. It doesn't hurt to try.

I never once said that your idea wasn't valid. Your idea is a valid idea. The step they got stuck on was the step to access the chainloader, not the step to access GM9. I never meant to imply anything bad about your idea with my post or that they shouldn't also try your idea, only to say that they need to access the chainloader before they need access to GM9 and to also try my idea as well. I'm sorry to have offended you. :/

It seems that changing the luma boot.firm worked, thanks a lot you two
You're welcome! :)

It's fine (especially since your idea worked). I'm just in a bad mood today with some of the things I've seen on the internet.
