Hi,

I have two Wii's here, both were on 3.2 and already soft-modded. Then I updated Wii #1 using Waninkoko's 4.1 Updater and did the rest as described in the simplistic mod. Now, NeoGamma, USB-Loader GX and all HBC apps are working flawlessly but when I enter the Wii Shop Channel it gives me error code 209800. Anyone knows how to solve this?

Wii #2 was updated a while ago to 4.1 by first removing all the Homebrew stuff (using NAND Clean/AnyTitleDeleter etc.) and then doing the "official" update through the Wii's system menu. After this I basically followed the same steps as with #1 (simplistic mod). Again, all Homebrew and backup-loading apps are working perfectly. But when I access the Wii Shop Channel on this Wii it says there would be an update for the Wii system and won't let me enter. What about this?

I hope you can help me...

unno if this will help found this using search top of the page >Error Code: 209800
Wii Shop Channel

There are appears to be a temporary problem with the Wii Shop Channel.

* The Wii Shop Channel may be temporarily down (this could include scheduled maintenance). Please wait a few hours and retry the connection again.

* Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available).

* If possible, move the router closer to the Wii console and try the connection again.

If you have waited several hours but are still receiving this error code when connecting to the Wii Shop Channel, please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may assist you further.

Use Wii System Channels Updater to install the Wii Shop Channel. That should let you in again.

And this is safe to use when I'm already on (hacked) 4.1? Can I use this on both Wii's?

yeh its safe aslong as you select to update wii shop channel and install IOS 61 as -trucha

One last question:

Can I install all of the channels available in the "Wii System Channels Updater" or must I only install the Shop Channel? And as with the IOS's I only install/upgrade IOS61 with the "-trucha" option, right?

install the channel and the corresponding IOS on -trucha (there listed like this)(the ones without anything are the ones i forgot.
IOS
IOS
IOS 51
IOS
IOS 61

channel
channel
mii channel
channel
shop channel

so if you install the top chanel you install the top IOS and if you install the middle channel you install the middle IOS. get it
the IOS's you install here must be -trucha or you risk a brick (it worked for me like that)
