yeah i tried skipping the tuts as well.... didn't work. the moves are weird at first, but 2nd nature once you get the hang of it.

wow, i feel so humbled, so heres a tip.
when ur trough on goal draw a line to make ur player run forward, towards the keeper, and give the nunchuk a little shake, pretty much garaunteed goal.
