a few days ago, I was using it to play Garden Warfare 2 on steam. Then after I stopped I forgot to turn it off and left it on until the battery drained. Then yesterday, the controller would not work at all. the sync button didn't do anything, when plugged into the switch nothing would happen. and the charging light would not work.
I've tried holding every button even the sync button and removing the controller from the devices that had saved it. nothing happened at all.
I did spray contact cleaner into the joystick, but that was weeks ago so I don't think it's that.

Try this method that we used in the old days, blow the cable and blow the charging socket. If that doesn't work try a different cable. Any usb c cable is fine

Leave it charging over night using a good usb c charger?
I left it charging last night using the cable it came with connected to the switch. it still does nothing after almost 12 hours of charging

I know it sounds stupid but did you try blowing it?

"All controllers are already up to date" I don't think it even knows a pro controller is plugged in. I also did try using more than one USB-C cable. still nothing
One question did you only hold the pair/sync button or did you try pressing it too?

I have tried both holding for a while it and pressing it
I tried finding a solution on the internet but unfortunately couldn't find anything to fix this issue. The only ideas that come to my mind is cleaning the charging socket and leaving the controller plugged in
